Here’s a Challenge : The Challenger & the Dodge Challenger Wheels

April 9th, 2011

Yes, we all know that the Challenger is gorgeous – but have you seen the OEM Dodge wheels on these things? I mean seriously, I don’t think that they can get any nicer. If I had the money to buy the 1970 one, & if I could find one in excellent condition like this one, then I’d totally buy it. Especially if it was that same color.

The first generation of the Challenger with Factory Dodge Challenger wheels was first built from 1970 to 1974 and was known as a pony car. It used the Chrysler E platform and shared a lot of characteristics with the Plymouth Barracuda at the time. When the second generation came out, it was from 1978 to 1983 and was a badge engineered Mitsubishi Galant Lambda.

The third generation (which is the generation that we have now), was introduced in 2008. It was meant to serve as a rival to the evolved fifth generation Ford Mustang and another enemy to the revived fifth generation Chevrolet Camaro; it just makes me wonder why we can’t get along in this world.

If were up to you, would you choose the 2008 Dodge Challenger wheels or the Camaro ones? Which manufacturer would you go with? Are there any specific things that you like about the OE Wheels?

It’s up to you!
Mykalanne.
