Stock Rims?

May 12th, 2011

Do you always hear the term “stock rims” & you have no idea what it is? Don’t worry, I didn’t know what stock rims were at one point either.

Stock rims are also known as OEM rims (Original Equipment Manufacturer). They’re factory wheels that are shipped with the vehicle that you get from the manufacturer. So say you get an Infiniti M35, you’re going to get Infiniti rims to go on the car. If we were being specific, you’d get the Infiniti M35 rims on it. And if we were being even more specific, you can get a 2007 model with 2007 Infiniti M35 rims!

Each type of stock wheel is designed to fit a specific vehicle and provide the rolling circumference required for the vehicle speedometer to display the correct speed.

Now do you understand?
