History of CL Wheels & CL Rims
The Acura CL was the very first Acura built here in the United States (in Marysville, Ohio) and most people think it was meant to replace the earlier Legend model. In reality, the sedan version was re-christened the Acura RL. The CL was produced solely in the U.S. from it’s 1st generation dating from 1997 to 1999, skipping the year 2000 and then again from the 2nd generation dating from 2001 to 2003. The alloy wheel designed was tweaked from a five spoke design in 1997, to seven spokes in 1998 to a multi-spoke alloy wheel in 1999. However, out of the six years it was produced, the CL came with Aluminum Alloy CL Wheels and CL Rims.
