The Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster) is a ‘retractable hardtop convertible pick up truck’ that was on the market from 2003 through 2006. The concept car version of this model was show at the 2000 Detroit Auto Show and was noted for its long wheelbase and steel retractable hardtop. The SSR is a powerful vehicle that boasts a 5.3 L Vortec 5300 engine that is capable of producing 300 horsepower! Something interesting about the SSR is that it was used as a pace car for the 2003 Indianapolis 500. Also standard with this model are its pair of available body styles, the ute and the convertible and its 19 inch alloy Chevrolet SSR Wheels and SSR Rims.
