Porsche was founded in 1931 by a man named Ferdinand Porsche. It is a holding company that has investments in the automotive industry. A lot of the Porsche models that have been made are stocked with Original aluminum rims or alloy wheels instead of steel wheels. Some of the older Porsche models do have steel wheels with hubcaps over them .. but that’s not very common. Porsche Rims Finishes
Ever since Porsche appeared on the scene, it has had the opportunity to design different styles of Factory Rims for their different model vehicles. The most used finish on the Porsche Wheels is the silver (argent) finish, the brushed aluminum (machined) finish, then the polished and chrome finishes are used least. Make note that some of your local Porsche dealerships send the Silver Porsche Rims out to be chromed after market by an independent shop. Because of this, some car owners believe to have factory original chrome Porsche Rims and Porsche Wheels when that is not the case.
