The Toyota 4Runner is a mid-size sports utility vehicle with five different generations: the first from 1984-1989, the second from 1989-1995, the third from 1995-2002, the fourth from 2002-2009 and the last from 2009 through the present. There were some changes made to the fifth generation before it was re-introduced to the public at the Texas State Fair in 200 such as a four wheel drive system, a new suspension system and a new third trim level called the Trail Edition.
