Information On Factory Chevrolet El Camino Rims and Wheels

The Chevrolet El Camino was a coupe utility car produced from 1958 until 1987 when its fifth generation ceased production. The El Camino, which is translated from Spanish as "the path", offered both straight 6 and V8 engines as well as 3 and 4 speed transmissions for the first four generations. The fifth generation, which is the only generation recent enough that we are able to carry wheels for, only offered V6 and V8 engines, including its first Diesel engine, and only a 3 speed transmission (manual or automatic). Although no division within GM (which is Chevrolet's parent company) has produced a utility car (a car with a back area like a pick up truck) since the ElCamino, there have been several moves by GM to put a utility car into mass production, none of which have come to fruition.

Only three factory original wheels were offered for the fifth generation. All were 14" steel wheels, and included a 6 slot steel rim with painted finish, a 4 hole steel wheel with silver or black finish, and a 5 spoke steel rim with painted finish.
