Information On Factory Dodge Avenger Rims and Wheels

The Dodge Avenger was a midsize car that began production in 1995 as a 2 door coupe and continued until 2000 when it took an 8 year hiatus and returned as a 4 door sedan that continues production today. The original Avenger was produced on Chrysler's FJ platform and had options for both a straight 4 or a V6 engine as well as a manual or an automatic transmission. When the Avenger came back in 2008 it was being manufactured on Chrysler's JS platform and although had similar engine options was only available with an automatic transmission.

During the Avenger's initial production there were five different wheels available. There were two 14" steel rims that were available in a black or painted finish with 8 or 15 holes respectively; two 16" rims- an alloy wheel finished in silver or white with 5 spokes and a steel rim with painted finish and 15 holes; and a 17" alloy rim finished in silver or white with 5 spokes.
