Information On Factory GMC Envoy XL Rims and Wheels

Introduced in 2002, the Envoy XL (which was 207" in length) was an even larger version of the Envoy (191" in length), which was a larger version of the Jimmy (181" in length). The XL Envoy boasts of being able to sit a six foot passenger comfortable in the third row of seats but was also the least fuel efficient of the Envoys since it was the only one offered with the V8 engine that did not come with GM's "active fuel management" that lets drivers alternate to using only half of the cylinders in a V6 or a V8. The Envoy XL was discontinued in 2009 along with the rest of GMC's vehicles with the Envoy badge- the future of the name remains undetermined.

XL wheels are exclusively 17" and 18" alloy rims apart from two steel wheels; a 16" steel rim with painted finish and 5 spokes and a 17" steel wheel with painted finish and 18 spokes. The remaining alloy wheels were finished either in silver, chrome, machined, polished, or painted and spoke styles that ranged from 6 to 18 spokes.
