The Honda Del Sol was a semi-convertible version of the CR-X, renamed to the spanish words for "of the sun" because of its targa top (or a removable roof section that still maintains a full width roll bar behind the seats) but also known by the names Civic del Sol and CRX del Sol. The largest engine available was a 1.6L four cylinder engine but was also available with the smaller 1.5L |4 engine and automatic or manual transmissions. Under 80,000 units were sold in the US and in 1997 production for the US ended (one year before total production ended, specifically Japan and Europe).

Wheels on the del Sol include three 14" alloy rims with silver, white, or machined finish and a 5 or 10 spoke pattern. A 13" alloy rim was also available with machined finish with silver, gold, or black insets and 6 or 26 spokes; a 13" steel wheel was available as well with painted finish and fourteen spokes.
