In 2007 Nissan began production of the Rogue, or Dualis as it is called in Japan and Australia, their crossover SUV. Built on Nissan's C platform, the Rogue has standard front wheel drive but has optional four wheel drive and is powered by a straight four cylinder engine attached to a continually variable transmission. A five door compact car, the Rogue is noticeably smaller than the Murano, Nissan's other crossover SUV.
