Cadillac Deville & Its OEM Rims

July 16th, 2010

The reason why I like these cars so much is because I liked the way they looked from 1955-1964… so about ten years. I think it’s because they’re so classic-looking & will look good on the road any day of the week (: Wouldn’t you agree?

Anyway, as you probably know, there are many generations to this vehicle. It’s not so many that I dont have time to name, but there is more than enough.

The reason it has the name “Deville” is because it refers to the town car body style. The Deville has a Chauffeur’s compartment & a surrounding passenger compartment. This expression was also used by Lincoln in 1922; so it was way before Cadillac even thought about using it. In true Cadillac language, the word Deville was used first to designate a deluxe trim level on “pillarless”-body cars.

Of course the OEM wheels are going to change, but I think the 1992 Cadillac Deville rims are the best.

Why? Because look at the wire wheel that came on that thing ! It’s like an original one! Those don’t come on today’s cars anymore ):

But if I had to pick a “newer”, I’d pick the 2004 Cadillac Deville wheels because they just look so elegant; well they look elegant to me.

Off to the auto show,
