Sounds hard, right? It\u2019s not! All you need to do is plug in a few simple numbers! So here are the 2 formulas that you need:<\/p>\n

  • Overall width \/ 2 = Centerline<\/li>\n
  • Backspacing – Centerline = Offset<\/li>\n

    Step #1: Find the width of your factory original wheel. (Here\u2019s how to do it: http:\/\/www.originalwheels.com\/blog\/2010\/02\/figure-out-your-rim-size\/)<\/p>\n

    Step #2: Divide that number by 2; this gives you the Centerline
    \n<\/p>\n

    Step #3: On the hub, measure from the hub-mounting surface to the edge of the inboard flange (the back face of the wheel)<\/p>\n

    Step #4: That measurement is used for the second equation<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    Now you have your offset! I told you it was easy; now you\u2019re more cognizant of your Factory Wheel. Even if you don\u2019t understand it (but I really hope you do), we include the Offset on our descriptions of wheels (: Let\u2019s look at the Honda Passport Rims<\/a> ; in 1994, the Original Steel Wheel for that year has an Offset of 7.5\u201d.<\/p>\n
