Their main marketing strategy consisted of targeting the premium vehicle segments in the United States that would not have otherwise fit in with Nissan&#8217;s more mainstream image.<\/p>\n<p>The Infiniti brand was made at around the same time as Toyota &amp; Honda were making up their Lexus &amp; Acura brands.<\/p>\n<p>Originally, the Infiniti had been released with the Q45 &#8211; the car was then based on the all new second generation JDM Nissan president.
