The Right Lugs on Your OEM Used Wheels

July 1st, 2010

As you read in Karijia’s blog, there are different types of lugs that you need for those 2008 Buick Lucerne rims, or any rims you may have for that matter. Here’s why: if you buy a new OEM wheel & try to replace it for the old one, you may have a little bit of a problem.

Different wheels have different lug seat designs while others just have shorter lug heads. There are typically 3 lug seat types: conical (tapered), ball (radius), & flat. Conical has an end that kind of looks like the side of an octagon, the ball lugs have a round edge, & the flat ones simply have a flat edge .. hence the name “Flat Lug”.

If you need any help with the types of lugs that you have on your wheel, you can call us at 1-800-896-7467 for all of your questions & all of your wheel needs.

Bolting off,
