The German Autobahn

July 7th, 2011

This is something that frightens me a bit. I wouldn’t want my OE Toyota rims being caught in this madness. The German Autobahn is the nationally coordinated motorway system in Germany. It’s not like your ordinary motorway system that’s here in the United States; I promise that it’s much more interesting and much more intense for any one of us to handle.

In Germany, it’s supposed to be called “Bundesautobahn” – but regardless of whatever that thing is called, I do not want my Original Toyota wheels getting in that mix… it sounds scary.

German Autobahns have no general speed limit (though about 55% of the total length is subject to local and/or conditional limits), but the advisory speed limit (Richtgeschwindigkeit) is 130 kilometers per hour (81 mph). Imagine your different cars & different wheels going through that madness? I know it may seem that I just put some random letters together, but I swear I didn’t – that’s what it’s actually called and stuff…

Hmm,
Mykalanne.
