Information On Factory BMW Z8 Rims and Wheels

The BMW Z8 was a Roadster set up on the E52 developments (or Entwicklungsmummren which means something similar in German and is where the E in the E series comes from; it is speculated that the only reason F was chosen to replace the E series when it hit 99 was its auspicious alphabetical placement). The Z was chosen for this line of Roadsters after the german word Zukunft (which can be translated to " future") and began with the Z1 in 1989. The Z8 was only available as a convertible and was offered with the largest engine of any in Z line and was 4.9L with a V8, the next size down was a 3.2L straight six engine that was offered on both the Z3 and Z4. The Z8 was sold from 1999 until 2003 (half of all of the 5,700 vehicles built were shipped and sold to the U.S.) and BMW has yet to put out another Roadster as powerful as the Z8.

Only two wheels were offered on the Z8 during its four year production. There was an 18" alloy rim with silver finish and 5 split spokes and there was a 20" silver finished alloy rim with 5 quadruple spokes.
