ABS…? On my Factory Original Wheels ?

May 3rd, 2010

Do you have ABS on your car? Do they help you keep from damaging your 2009 Nissan Pathfinder rims? Do you know what it is? It’s okay, I’m here to help.

ABS stands for Anti-Lock Braking System. It’s not that hard to understand, but it’s not that easy to explain… so I’m gonna try my best.

So did you know when you’re driving a little too fast, one of your wheels can rotate a little faster than the other ones? Well, when the ABS recognizes that a wheel is rotating faster or slower than usual, it notifies the hydraulic valve that allows there to be more pressure or less pressure on the wheel when the driver brakes. After this, it should be back to normal (:

Anyway, this System comes standard on pretty much all vehicles. If you have an old-school car, and you think this can be really helpful when you drive, then you might want to consider getting it. It actually is very helpful-I think-because you never know when you’re going to be in a situation where you need to suddenly stop, you know?

Hope this helps (:
