Bolt Pattern

June 1st, 2011

A bolt pattern (or a bolt circle) is considered to be the diameter of an imaginary circle that’s formed by the centers of the wheel lugs on your Factory Original Honda rims .

Bolt patterns can either be 4-, 5-, 6-, or 8-lug holes; I know, it’s a lot. If a bolt circle was 4×100, this would mean that there’s a 4 lug on the wheel; kind of like the OEM 2003 Honda Civic rims – or the Honda Civic rims in general.

If you ever get around to measuring a 5-lug wheel – like some of the Honda rims – you should know that the measurement is only an estimate unless its accurately-measured using a bolt pattern gauge.

Do you have one of these gauges?
