Information On Factory Land Rover LR2 Rims and Wheels

The LR2 is a second generation Freelander that began production in 2006 and was available in the U.S. by 2008. The LR2 takes its name from the tradition of naming newer generations of the Discover the LR3 and LR4 (LR for land rover) and is given a lower numerical based on its comparative size that is smaller than the Discovery. The LR2 is a five door SUV that came equipped with either a straight four cylinder engine (optionally available with Ford's eco boost technology that enhances fuel economy and performance) or a straight six cylinder engine- automatic and manual transmissions were both available. The LR2 fruitfully continues production today.

LR2 wheels include only one 17" rim that is coincidentally the only steel rim as well and has a painted finish. The remaining rims include two 18" wheels finished in silver with 6 split or 5 split spokes. There were also two 19" rims with either 10 spokes or 7 double, both finished in silver.
